Car can not start, it's cranking and almost start but failed.
I checked almost everything switching parts from my wife's A4 with the same engine. There is more the half fuel in the tank.New spark plugs, new wires.Even switched wife's igniton coil and nothing The only one think which I observed is that spark on the plugs while engine crankink is so WEAK, almost not visible (one time blink, no more). Switched even ECU's and nothing.
Thought that ignition coil is not getting enough power to fire up the spark plugs. What can cause that ? What module gives power on ignition coil ?
Looks like engine has fuel, but no power on spark plugs to burn it.
If you can help, PLEASE becouse it's been fourth day without any idea.

You might have a loose power of ground connection loose on that terminal causing weak power to the coil. Check that first.

Well that code can be thrown if the ecu or battery are unplugged and it will be stored till it is cleared.

Could be a bad crank trigger sensor, but I dont see a code for it.

Maf could be bad to the point that the ecu doesn't see any air going thru it so it doesn't give any fuel. Can try unplugging the maf to see if the car will start.

MAF has been switched from my wife's car - still doesn't work.
This crank position sensor is on the back of camshaft ?
I already switched it as well.

Pretty sure the crank sensor on the 2.8 is located on the tranny bell housing, it just senses the flywheel instead.

I know what you are saying. That's the only one sensor I didn't check.
Just to wanna make sure - sensor is right above the driver's axle on two bolts in tranny ?

Do you hear the fuel pump running? And are you sure that fuel is making its way into the cylinders? Smell the spark plugs after you try to fire it up and see if you can smell the fuel.

Re: AudiWorld.com couldn't help, maybe you guys are better-please read and help

Yes, I can hear the fuel pump is running. I even disconnected fuel rail to the injectors and it's full of gasoline when cranking. There was a lot of fuel from filter while I was removing it. So at this point fuel is not an issue.
What about sparks ? What take control over the igniton coil ?
Looks for me, there is not enough spark on the plugs to burn in cylinders.
here is a sensor which I replaced today. still dead while cranking

Battery is about to die while the engine is cranking that's why I'm running on jump from another car. Gauge shows 12 Volts and below later on.
