FEELER: GTRS, ATP Manifold, and misc. other pieces

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm going to gauge interest on my GTRS turbo (less than 2k miles) the manifold to go with it, MOST associated hardware (exact pieces to be determined), and misc. other bits like an intake elbow, 3" adapter, etc. etc. etc.

I can get pictures up of the parts, but i'm looking for about 1300+shipping for everything... considering the things I'm selling cost me just short of 2 grand and are all (with the exception of the manifold) relatively new, that's not that bad of a deal. PM me if you're interested and we can talk. If I can't get enough out of this to cover the majority of the cost of an upgrade then I'll just keep it... It's just that with my motor being built up sooner than i expected, and with some other new goodies on the way (you'll all see that soon enough) i figured it might be in my best interest to upgrade....

    again.

with that being said --- LET THE SELLING BEGIN!

Re: FEELER: GTRS, ATP Manifold, and misc. other pieces

if i can sell this i'm going with a GT3071-WG. since i'm building my motor and everything is off i figured why not see if there's any interest out there

manifold is version 1. i believe it's also ceramic coated - i got it from john (condo) rather recently hahaha. i'll ask him if it's coated to make sure.

PM's replied, carlitos - you have first dibs with a couple in line.

Yeah, it's coated. I got it from Jordan (CO Avant) last summer when I went with the GTRS.

How involved is your engine build?

    thanks john!

i've done rods and gone with an AWW block/pistons/crank.. so supposedly those are all forged. I don't know how much of a difference that all makes, but the rods were the main thing. Probably going to do new exhaust valves/springs while I'm at it. Also new bearings, TB, water pump, rings, gaskets and seals, etc. you think i should have upgraded my pistons too? the biggest worry i've seen with pistons has been melting them or destroying them via detonation.... both of which aren't problems that aftermarket pistons would fix

im assuming you mean the manifold... it's not black.. and i'm not looking to sell it separately from the turbo (yet). if the sales with the first few guys fall through and i dont get any other interest i'll give you a ring about splitting it up. but i think this thing is gone already. we'll see tomorrow

I was under the impression the GTRS Elim was a GT2860 in a custom housing...and that the 2871 was the same size housing with a bigger turbine?

as far as specifics about the turbo -- refer to ATP... I thought the same as you boy412, but I can't be 100% sure, so i'd get it straight from the horse's mouth.

sale still pending, should know by tuesday if it's sold to the first buyer. if not i'll contact the next in line

All elim's use a KO4-15 hotside mated with a Garrett GT28 cold side. The difference between the GTRS and the 2871 is the GTRS uses a ~60mm compressor wheel and the 2871 uses a ~71mm compressor wheel. This means the GTRS spools faster but can't maintain the airflow at higher rpms as it heats up light the 2871 with the larger wheel. On a stock 1.8L the GTRS will reach boost and maintain pretty much consistent power to redline while the 2871 will reach boost later but continue increase power to the redline like a typical NA car.
