What could this noise be?...

My 04 3.0L V6, makes this noise on idle... Especially when cold... I dont seem to hear it when its warm but when cold its really noticeable. I tried to capture the noise, hopefully you can hear it well.

BTW:
Engine has 65k on it, timing belt not replaced yet... Just Audi service til now. I did replace though the spark plugs with NGK (if that matters)

BUMP... I will change the video out for another one I have (taken during the day.. not at 1am like the last one)... I think its the valves, or the lifters?? I dunno.. It just is very annoying and I cant stand it that it sounds like a diesel lol

It sounds like the lifters. Try a little Seafoam or add a 1/2qt. of trans fluid to the oil. It'll help clean them out.

Mine sounds similar to that as well, that was with the hood open right? I also hate the noise and it worries me, although I never seem to hear it when I am just driving, only at idle. But I would love to either know how to get rid of it, or that it is nothing to worry about.

Transfluid... why would I put transmission fluid to the oil?? Also for the seafoam, should I put it into the oil too?? Also were is the hose I need to put the seafoam into on the 3.0?

Trans fluid has a detergent in it. If you've ever seen the inside of a tranmission, no matter how bad the fluid is the parts are still clean. And Seafoam can be added to the oil also.

So I would put how much trans fluid and how much seafoam... I should tell you that I also need to replace the valve cover gasket b/c one of the sparkplug housings is getting filled with oil, so anything else I should do/ or look for since that will be open...

If I put in the trans fluid (1/2qt) tonight, could I drive it about 40mi tomorrow (freeway&city) and then come home and leave it til Tuesday when i do the oil change... or is that a bad idea?
