anybody remember the a4 b5 v8 4.2 and the first OEM b7 conversion for b6 ? my same friend needed a new winter car . He wanted 400 + hp , auto tranny and more space than in a a4 .........

I found a cheap 1998 a6 2.8 quattro .5000 $ canadian . we had the biturbo from a 2004 rs6 for over a year I'll keep you updated . FOr now we have to weld the rails...they are three inches longer in the rs6

a6 1998 and 04 are not the same upfront . We had to weld 3 inches of the front apron from the rs6 ,done . The engine is in (tight fit all around ) but I guess that was the easy part ...Right ? pics coming ..,..

i think that motor never sold because nobody trusted it to be working! (I remember your FS post last year) I'll be glad to see all works well when the install is complete =)

I'm surprised you still have the brakes... let us know how easy (or hard) the brake install is

Wow... that's kinda gnarly. I wish someone around my parts would do the swap for a 2.7tt.
