RS4 fenders = wheel size help

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
To those of you that don't know me, I have a 2001.5 S(R)S4, I have the full RS4 body conversion so finding wheel fitment is an issue. I must iterate that I am VERY knowledgeable about wheels and fitments as I owned a company doing this for years. However, I am not too up on which wheels for MY car which is an oddball to say the least....

So I am ready to start thinking about which wheels I need to go with soon.

I am thinking 19x9.5 all around with 265/30 or 275/30R19 tires all around

Not sure what guys run on these and what size tire and offset to run, I want a LIP...

any ideas for me to chew on?

Your sizing should be good and I would go with an offset around 20. I've got B7 RS4 wheels which are 19x9, et 29 with 12mm spacers in the rear and it fits ok but right now the tires are a bit to tall and rub in the rear w/ out the spacer. Tires are 255/35's, switching to 275/30's soon.

I think with the widebody you should go with a 10" rim in the back

I am not interested in staggering the wheels, one might think that if you run the same tire size on different widths they are the same, but in reality they are not, the stretch will change the size(s) slightly

plus I want to rotate and think the S4 is better off with same size at all four corners, for some reason the staggered thing doesn't do it for me on an AWD car

thank you all for your input though!

Re: RS4 fenders = wheel size help

    I'm running 255/35x18's, on 8,5"x18" ET20 wheels.

    I plan to go 265/30x18's, on 9,5"x18" ET20 wheels.
They'll clear the wheel arches fine, and at the rear, the top radius arm.
    275 is getting tight.

Docurley is also running the same set-up as me, though his wheel offsets are ET25-ish.

I too do not recommend staggered wheels on an AWD car.

FUNCTION over FORM, I am not sure if Sportec still sells the MONO 10 for the RS4, but that wheel is killer!
