Question regarding BBK and the annoying (O) light.

I posted a similar thread in the Brakes/Suspension forum.
What did you B7 drivers do to remove the annoying (O) light on the dash when you have BBK?
As I was told, I cut the old brake pad sensors and soldered the wires together. I had my friend vag the car to remove the light, but had no luck. Is there any other ways to get around this?

    TIA!

Re: Question regarding BBK and the annoying (O) light.

The wear sensor is a simple circuit and you should be able to fix the light by just soldering the wires together so it thinks the circuit is complete. You could also take the connector off you old wear sensors and solder it on to the new wear sensor if you want to keep that feature.

That's what I did. I took the connectors off my old brake pads and soldered the 2 wires together and plugged it. But he light is still on.

I guess I'll try the other option. Hopefully this time it goes away.

    Thanks!

Maybe you got a bad connection, I would have guessed that putting the connectors on would make it work. Are the sensors new? If the connections are good I guess try connecting the wires.

Re: Question regarding BBK and the annoying (O) light.

The connector method worked for a good while. One day my brother borrowed the car and somehow managed to mess things up. I'm pretty sure that my connectors have gone bad...

Anyways, thanks every1 for the help. Really hoping the other method works.

Thanks for the help. Tried that method but I'm guessing my connectors have gone bad somehow. I will try another method, hopefully this one will work.

So they haven't come apart? I'm not sure the connection really has to be that good. I used crimp connectors and electrical tape, no soldering. So far so good...

As I stated before, I tried this method before and for some reason, the light came back.

Thanks everyone for the help, I gathered enough information and I'm pretty confident that this time, thigs will work out.

    I hope
