Flashing CEL / Vibration while Driving / Power Loss

Could this be my first coilpack going? The car has 69k on the Odo. I was just driving normally, then power cut out and the vibrations started. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like the typical coilpack/ignition coil failure. Replace the failing coilpack or replace all four to prevent any other upcoming failures. Go to your nearest AutoZone to get the codes and clear them.

Ha, ok now another question, Do the Jetta 1.8T's and our a4's use the same coilpacks? Cause, I dont have an audi dealer near me, just a VW one.

I have a 3.0L engine and think I experience my first coilpack problem as well yesterday. Ran codes P0300, P0304, and P0306. Anybody know where a diagram with the 6 cylinders numbered?

No. The 3.0 uses a different coil pack. It is similar but not the same.

Thanks again...i've been reading up on these coilpacks...but didn't see anything on fuel consumption/gas mileage...this tank I'm on pace to only get about 300 miles max with highway driving

Called two local Audi Dealerships and one wants $43 each and the other $47....sounds like big rip offs compared to the prices I've seen on here. Definitely need to make an online order and keep spares in the trunk.

Should I buy a full backup of 6? I have the 3.0...

I don't think the 3.0's coilpacks are as big an issue as the 1.8t's so I don't think spares are necessary. However, if someone with 3.0 experience could chime in, thatd be nice lol.

I would definitely appreciate someone with a 3.0 to chime in...I'm still learning this car since it's my first German car, much less my first Audi.
