Whose running on Springs and 19's? Found a good deal on 19's but dont have the extra 750 to splurge on coilovers as opposed to the cost of springs.

i concur. the money spend installing the springs, then later again on swapping coilovers in, you might as well save up

I'm doing 19s and springs soon. Any really good reasons for switching from springs to coilovers, besides ride height adjustability? I didn't do my install yet so there's still time to switch things up if I really want to

i would say the adjustability alone would do it. my drop was great until i threw 19's on. then all of a sudden i was like "shit i should have bought coilovers"

Deep inside myself, I know I want to slam the shit out of my car, but in reality I plan on keeping my A4 for a good number of years and want a comfortable ride. I had coilovers on my TT so I'm not in denial or anything, but I think H&R springs drop it just enough were I won't have to worry about anything. Especially come winter

So with my not caring about adjustability that much, I don't think the bounce or ride comfort is that much of a difference unless you spend over $1k on the coilovers. Cheap way out, here I come!

No, I'm keeping my oem sports for now. Worst comes to worst I'll just buy aftermarket if they blow out, I can install them myself.

S1LVERBULLET119: springs don't get much love on this forum and most people here will tell you to go for coilovers, which technically are better, but the question is will you use their potential? Are you planning on tracking the car? Although it's true that a good spring/shock combo will only be marginally less expensive than the cheapest coilovers, the installation costs are higher for coils and most are not height adjustable while on the car, requiring a fresh install each time, which runs about $600-700 in a good shop. Coilovers also require some maintenance and on the downside, many people here also experience noises. Spring on the other hand are more of a drop-it and forget it solution. Do a search and look at some pics to find out how low do you want to go. Good luck.

how long have u had springs on the oem sport shocks??? hows the ride, any bouncing or anything crappy like that?
