wish that you could roll down all of your windows by holding the unlock button on your keyfob like a lot of other cars can????

this aggrivates me a bit. i really want to be able to do this on hot days. and putting your key in the key hole and holding it to roll the windows down is pretty useless...

i wish there was a way to reprogram your key or something

You can do this with the VAG-COM programming if I'm not mistaken. I do not yet know enough about it to know exactly everything you can do, and how it is done.


Go to this thread's first post and towards the bottom of it are the codes that need to be reprogrammed in your car to do this I THINK, don't hold me to that though.

Yeah mine does it... if the car's locked, it winds them all down & if it's open, the windows wind up.

It's a standard feature - I didn't request/VAG-COM anything to get it working.

it may be standard in the U.K but not over here in the states so we're stuck with having to pay for the VAG-COM programming :(

I have no idea.

The program that does the reprogramming isn't expensive from what I understand and then you can change whatever codes you want whenever you want.

If I was you id find someone from the local forums that owns the cable and the software so he can do it for you. Doesnt take more than 10 minutes to do... While at it, get your seatbelt whine removed as well :)

lol yeah, i feel liike the dealer would act like they didnt know what i was talking about.. and it would probably be a huge hassle not even worthwhile

yeah i saw that it was pretty cheap on ebay... on that ross-tech website.. they have a free software with some functions and others limited.. and a software thats like 300$..

will their free software be all that i need to perform basic recodes like turning off the seat belt chime and making my windows roll down on the key fob???

yo, CHILL OUT.. being an audi owner for about.. hmm 2 weeks now, how am i supposed to know that this feature can be added usinog a vag-com cable. i didnt even know shit about what that was until i read this here thread.

my thread was stating that i wished our cars could do this.. what am i supposed to search!??? i didnt even know our cars were capable of it!

show me where in that sticky thread does it says anything about this.. i have read it PLENTY of times... i have read all about the vag-com in that thread, but i never had any idea of what it meant
