K2/PBR Special Edition Skis - $450+shipping - very rare, only given to K2 employees

These skis are big and wide! They are 180cm long and around 130-110-120, so these are meant for the deep stuff. Never drilled, still in original plastic wrapping. These are extremely rare, only around 200 pairs were made. These were given to K2 employees only, many ended up in the hands of shop employees, me. I was given these for winning a K2 contest from my local rep. I snowboard so these are of little use to me. Ive heard they are based, construction wise, on the Made'n AK skis, but with slightly different dimensions, but not 100% sure on that. The Made'n AK's sold for $600 new as a flat ski (without a binding). Regardless, these are powder skis. Other than the obvious special graphic, they have many cool little details everywhere. This was a joint venture between K2 and Pabst, not the cheap skis/board with a beer logo they give away at the bars. There are K2 and PBR logos all over the skis. There are little holograms of the K2 and PBR logos going the whole length of the ski (you can kind of see it in the zoom in of the 3 rivets). The rivets on the tips and tails are beer can tops. Looking for $450+shipping. Email or PM me if interested.

Man I wish I had the money for these. I love K2's, and these are just too funny. Free bump though, GL!

don't know too much about skiing but I want to get into once I'm through with school and move to my new location. Will these skis work in snow that is not so deep. Also its been a few years since I've done some skiing and I always rented them. Would these work for a beginner?

Honestly, maybe and no. These are basically built as powder skis. Lots of people have no problem using wide skis on packed conditions or ice like we see mostly here in the east, but being wide means slower to turn so not ideal for someone starting out. Out west, "not so deep" could be more than enough, they just prefer softer snow, doesnt have to be chest deep. But...these are about as wide as they come, so as a beginner, I would prob start with something closer to 80-90 in the waist if you want to go the twintip route, maybe a K2 public enemy or Salomon 1080 (Foil or Thruster, there are a bunch). Ive sold skis for a while, if you have anymore questions, ask away.

Just a heads up...ski shops generally have all winter goods marked down like crazy in the summer. Getting these now, would mean being able to get these mounted for cheap. You could easily find a left-over-last-years binding on sale and prob get them mounted for free. Avoiding beggining of the season rush and prices can ususally save big bucks. Buy skis in the spring and summer, buy bikes in the fall and winter, always gonna be cheaper when they are trying to clear the space for the current seasons goods.
