I have a camber kit for sale if you want it. I was going to use it on my car but decided to go coilovers instead so now I don't need it.

he might if he doesnt want to chew up his tires. i got one for my a4 and dialed the camber in at -1.0 on each side and now tire wear is good.

    i'm on stock sports suspension.

    Re: camber kit 2000 A4

I do know that on my a4 with toe in being close to zero and camber at -1.8 on each side it would wear the inside edges of my front tires.

    Re: camber kit 2000 A4

I run around -1.7 and I didn't notice extra tire wear on the inside. I am pretty sure there are BMW that come stock with this much camber.

Ever see the rear of an X5? Looks like 2-5 degrees following one down the road.

When it comes to tire wear toe settings are more important than camber. Camber is still important since it shifts the rolling load toward the inside of the tire but toe can actually scrub off rubber like scuffing your shoe.

    Re: camber kit 2000 A4

Well from my experiences maybe i has something else going wrong or just drive too hard.
I was getting camber wear on all of my tires granted i usually run high performance summers. But i've seen it a lot here in Texas on other vehicles as well, toe checks out but excessive neg camber kills tires, to me killing them is uneven wear and having to replace 8-10k miles early

    Re: camber kit 2000 A4

I ran over 20k street miles on Azenis that were really there for autocrossing. There was more wear on the outer shoulders from scrubbing turns than there was on the insides from the -1.6 camber it ran.

I've been on sticky summer tires for a few years now and the current ones have a 160 tread wear so they aren't even legal for most autocross street tire classes.

Static toe at zero on an alignment rack may not mean you have zero toe when driving. The suspension is constantly in motion and we have a toe curve.

I dropped the car way down for the track to see what effects it might have. It felt very sharp but the overall laptimes were not any better. It felt a bit less confidence inspiring than when it was raised up to about a one finger gap. The pic is on a race tire with shaved tread so the tire alone lowered the car an additional half inch. Still, I daily drove it this way for months with sticky and expensive 235/45-17 Pilot Sports and had no uneven wear.

    On the track tires:

As it was daily driven. You can even see some white shoe polish on the front tire from a recent autocross.
