HELP! Cannot get front bumper off.

ok, so ive followed the a4mods.com DIY to a T. ive got the bumper to slide forward about 2 inches, but it will not move anymore than that. it feels like there is something holding the bumper to the car from the middle. i removed the 3 screws underneath that hold the bumper to the rebar completely, and still no budging. i didnt realize it until after i was back and forthing with the damn thing, but one of the side 10mm screws scratched the absolute shit out of my fender!

anyone please if youve experience this, help me out. i feel like an idiot for not being able to get a stupid ass bumper off.

so u got the 3 bolts on either side and the alen key bolts? did you pull out the stock lower from the fenders?

yup, 6 bolts total from the sides. 2 allen bolts that were included inside the side vents/fog lamp area. and a 3rd allen bolt in the middle beneath the center loewr grille. i dont get it. im so mad. ive pulled the lower out of its place, but the entire bumper will not come off at all.

There is also a set a screws (1 each side) behind the fender liners. The lower spoiler will then peel off on each side.

There are also 3 underneath holding the plastic undertray in position. GL w/ the removal

Yes you might be forgetting the peeling of the sides which it doesnt say on there.

Otherwise thats pretty much it.

ok, i found 2 other screws that went thru the rebar, and into the bumper. they were screwed into a lime green clip. i got the one on the passengers side out with ease, but the one on the drivers side has no way of access. i cant get my t-15 torx screwdriver down in there to loosen it. looks like im gonna need a torx-style allen wrench. has anyone found some of these types of allen wrenches and where?

this is an 05, yes. how do i take the rebar off with the bumper attached? can that be done from behind? tools required?

I didnt think there was confusion on this but to the OP..

The rebar should stay with the bumper and the arms stay with the car...
There are 2 fairly long screws that go completley vertical and are SOMEWHAT hard to see (just line it up with the rebar). This goes into the connection from the rebar arms to the rebar.

Are we on the same page?

If you look. Its 2 screws One for each side of the rebar. I think its a allen if I remember correctly.
Lie down and you will see the screw on each side.

ok, i finally got the bumper off....now i just realized i have to cut the shit out of the upper bumper to get the kerscher front end to fit up.

this is no longer fun.

maybe things will look better in the morning.
