That thermostat in your linked kit is not applicable for our B6 1.8T AMB engine code. Our cars use a MAP controlled thermostat and the whole unit needs to be replaced as one (hence the $100+ the dealer charges for the item).

Regardless, that's a good price.

PS. I haven't see any MAP controlled thermostats taking s**ts like traditional thermostats do. I've gone through two timing belt kits and have over 120k on my thermostat and its still working fine.

Not trying to deter sales but just informing our readers since it is an expensive part.
