If you do not have anything positive to say, please dont post in my thread.
Up for sale is my 2006 Volkswagen GTI. I am the original owner of this vehicle and have been since January 23, 2006. I've taken care of this car religiously from the first day of ownership. The car is United Gray in color, is a package 0 car and is a six speed. The car has had all the maintenance done and is perfect mechanically. The car has the stock wheels painted bronze which are wrappred in Hankook Ventus RS2 tires with about 65% thread left all around. Car has been garaged its entire life.
Maintenance:
Oil change every 4,000 miles with Mobil 1 -- 0W-40 with an OEM VW filter and always replaced crush washer on drain plug
Transmission fluid change ever 15,000 miles with Royal Purple Syncromesh, a big improvement in overall shifting and smoothness
Spark plugs changed every second oil change with NGK BK7RE's. These are a one step colder plug and yielded better fuel economy as well as a smoother idle.
Coil packs have been recently changed at 40,000 miles with the latest "D" revision
Fuel filter was changed 500 miles ago
Air filter was changed 500 miles ago
Brake fluid flush was done 500 miles ago
Clutch fluid flush was done 500 miles ago
Coolant flush was done 500 miles ago
Brake pads replaced 500 miles ago with Hawk HPS Pads all around
Rotors were replaced 500 miles ago with ECS slotted rotors all around
As far as modifications go, at 19000 miles my clutch burned up because of a faulty slave cylinder and when this happened I opted for an upgraded clutch and flywheel as I originally had big plans for the car. I also installed a short shifter to help smooth out overall shifting, I was not very fond of the stock shifter. Due to the aluminum flywheel, the car has chatter during idle while parked and also has chatter when engine braking from a high RPM. These cars originally have a dual mass 44 pound flywheel and by installing this significantly lighter one, it allows this engine to rev up quickly. Lastly, at 40,000 miles, I installed a stock suspension setup out of a 2007 GTI which had 10,000 miles at the time. The 2007 GTI's have a lower ride height and the car rides a lot better now than it did with the original suspension.
Modifications:
Unitronic Stage 1 chip
B&M Short Shifter
Spec Stage 2 clutch
Spec Aluminum 11 pound flywheel
