Wow, I'd actually consider this over a 3.2 and possibly even an S5. 36mpg is great and hopefully it comes over to the U.S.

No way on earth that thing is gonna make 36mpg. The last time i check, we have not invented any magic to make a pig (A5) to run faster and eat less than a rabbit (toyota corrola)

    With 208hp + 258 lb-ft torgue, I don't understand how this car takes 6.9s to get from 0- 60. That's like back to the A4 B6 1.8T all over again. This sucks!

I cant afford an s5 at their crappy lease/finance rates. I dont want a v6 a5; engine is lackluster and the price is just shy of an s5 when you option it out.

This could be a good one...assuming you chip it.

Re: Audi adds 2.0-liter TFSI to A5 lineup

Guys, is it just me or it actually a lot faster on a chipped car? People said chipped 1.8T A4 is faster than 3.0 A4. It that an over blown? I still can't think there is a way that a 1.8 engine can pull such heavy car faster than a V6 at start off.

Regarding the pricing of A5. Did you guys notice that a fully loaded one was 54k a few months ago and now it's down to 51k which was exactly what a 335xi would cost fully loaded?

Wo the B6 1.8T 0-60 is 7.9sec.........This car will be lighter than the B7 have a more updated 2.0T motor, and probably have the new 7 speed dual clutch transmission. That extra gear could make all the difference. Ahh...technology. It really is a win win for us if it comes out.

I too would love a 2.0T A5, and am hoping AoA does eventually bring it over.

don't get me wrong but I would LOVE this to come out in the US. If Audi actually is going to introduce this --> there will be a larger overall increase in A5 production in the US --> cool down the market faster and I will be happy to be in a used one 1-2 years down the road. Besides, over in Euro, somehow people love to exaggerate the gas mileage while being very realistic about how fast the car is. With all those clutch, TFSI...blah blah the car will probably get at most 32mpg cruising on highway and probably looking at 22ish local --> actual mixed driving should be nothing more than 25ish at best.

The more I think about this, the more I wonder why Audi didn't just introduce the A5 with this in the first place. I really don't see the point of getting the 3.2.

Not an uncommon trick of auto manufacturers. Release the more expensive versions first, then offer cheaper ones a year or so later.

Aside from a 2.0T A5, I'd actually prefer one with the TDI motor.

Mercedes is carrying a lot more diesels cars now. I just saw a bunch running in my neighborhood lately. Hopefully, Audi will start doing the same thing since the gas price is way up there now.

If it happens this will be my next car. I've been reading about the new tsi motor and it is really a gem. Big improvement over the 2.0 fsi.

Nice. If they offer an A5 2.0T 6M Sline...i'll be very interested. With a chip it'd be powerful enough for some fun.
