Just ordered my southbend stage III clutch for 749$.. how many of you call me stupid?

Mine is deff. out. Didnt want to go stock.. and i was in a hurry and South bend is 20 mins away!

Well, you're car is down and you needed it, so you didn't really have a choice. The perfect time to upgrade. Can't fault you for that.

I just hope your dealer is right about the clutch being the problem.

Well i mean the fact is, I didnt have to get a stage 3 clutch..

Stock parts from Audi - 500$

Stage 1- 545

Stage 2- 645

Stage 3- 749- stock drivability so im excited...


OH AND me too..i hope theyre not wrong!

THe guy told me our cars have too little HP for the stage four clutch, it will chatter alot or soemthing. I guess he was wrong... oh well.

Chatter comes from a lightweight flywheel (stock wont make this happen) - at least in the A4 ... I had an SBC clutch in my B6 A4 and it was awesome. Aside from holding the add'l power (I had a big turbo), the engagement point was closer to the floor making it far more enjoyable to drive.

im picking up a southbend set up soon also, debating if im gonna do the stg 1 or the stg 4, i know from experience that teh stg 4 can take a beating, 30+ passes in a 500whp gti and when the tranny was pulled the clutch disk still looked new.
