The gauge kit will include:

Drop-in vent gauge pod
Mechanical boost gauge - with a range of up to 30 psi (boost), and -30 mmHg (vacuum).
Boost gauge wiring harness
Rubber vacuum hose - 10 ft long
In-line vacuum line filter
Vacuum hose T-tap
Assorted wire taps
Misc. additional mounting/installation hardware
*The gauges come with either amber or white illumination, both will have an illuminating red gauge needle.

All vent functions, excluding the sideways and up/down tilt, will remain functional. Everything is completely reversible, if you ever decide to return the car back to stock.

It is a red backlight. All the lettering/numbering is white, and come with either white or red/amber illuminating backlight.

Shipping to Canada is $15 dollars.

Never installed a turbo boost gauge before. Is it difficult?

For a first timer, I would say 2 hours. I was able to do it in 3 hours, on my first try. This also includes me stopping in between every step, to document and take pictures. This is also coming from someone who had just sat in an Audi for the first time in his life, right before I started taking everything apart.

Do I have to cut out the vent or take apart the dash?

No, you do not have to take apart the dash. You will need to drill a small hole in the vent unit, to get the vacuum hose and power wires through, but it is nothing major. You only need a hole that is roughly 1/2" in diameter. The hole can also easily be patched up, if you ever plan on returning everything back to stock.

What do you mean by gauge on both sides?

All 4 circle dash vents, on the A3, are all interchangeable with each other.

For the A4, the two center vents should be identical as well, and interchangeable.

kepone - you are correct, you would buy two center vents. Just be sure that you can match up our opening with the gauge size that you are planning on getting.

gigi - I looked into the A6 stuff. We will have to see.

Yes there was, I'lll see if I can find it.
A couple of gus ended up fabricating theirs but many don't want to go thru the hassle and were looking for that in vain. There were talks AWETuning doing one but when I emailed to check , they said NO, none for the A6...

RE A6 -- there was a DIY thread (mounting on left dash by inspect sticker) and it got a bit of attention. Personally, don't like the location much. Somebody also did it on steering wheel, and I think somebody used vent. Gigi is right, a kit like this for high performance 2.7T (C5, S4) would presumably be of greater interest than on an A4.

I live in Vegas and it's hot as s#it here. I always drive with the a/c on. Will there be any affect on the mechanical gauge with that a/c on all the time? Will the boost reading be slower or off?

Running the A/C or heat through the vents will have no affect on the gauge's functions at all.

You will still have the same amount of air coming out of the vents. You will still get air coming out towards you. Not necessarily "hitting my face" amount of air, but still a good amount.
