    Alarm stopped working

I NOTICED THAT MY ALARM STOPPED WORKING.

Normally when I use my remote to lock the doors, I will get a single beep. I do not get this anymore.

I also tried my panic button, and this does not work either. (There is no sound)

    My remote works fine.

    What could it be?

VCDS/VAG-COM is a PC based tool to access the controllers used in the Audis electrical and engine controls. You can scan the comfort/convenience module for any stored fault code/s that may exist regarding the alarm horn, if there is a DTC, it may pinpoint why the alarm horn isn't working.

    Re: Alarm stopped working

I have a the same problem and vag'd my car to find that there is a light sensor in the trunk that tends to be the culprit and makes the ecu think that the trunk lid is open. Mine is sporadic so sometimes when it's real hot out (i live in the desert) and I open my trunk it will then cause it to mal function. I have no idea where the sensor is otherwise I would fix it. When it does happen I can still lock my doors w/o the alarm being on. I just kill my engine w/ my flashloader for safety.

    Re: Alarm stopped working

I did hear some weird noises in my trunk. I stuck my head in there and it was coming out of the passenger rear light area.

Is this a sign of something?
