I just researced the crap out of double din head units. I was really excited about the pioneer Avic-F series that just released until everyone who bought one had big problems(avic411.com). so i got scared and wanted to go with something else. it came down to eclipse, avic d-3 or a kenwood unit. the eclipse audio features seemed great, but navigation didn't seem so good, button colors were green and screen was just ok. avic matches our interiors the best but has some nav issues and ipod control is not up to par, which is important to me. the kenwood units seem all around great. there is a few different level ones, the higher 2 have 6.9" screens and every feature, but they have blue lights and buttons, which i think would look like crap in my dash. the lower model, DNX5120, has a slightly smaller screen and no built in blue tooth(but it can be added later for $120) but it has Garmin Nav and it has the option of changing button illumination colors and all of the other important features that i was looking for. some of the audio options are not as good as the others, but i'm not planning on building a competition system or anything, so they were plenty for me. so to wrap it up i found that the Kenwood DNX5120 has Garmin Nav, will match the dash better than most units, great Ipod control, Bluetooth capability, and enough audio options for most users. Plus it;s $650 on ebay, where most comparable units approach $1000. I ordered one last night.
