    Okay, a weird thing...

Driving home last night, while stopped at the traffic light, I was playing with my radio and the warning bell went off. It was getting a little dark and I have my headlights set on Auto. The symbol for the light being on came on followed by the warning symbol for the headlight adjuster failure. A second later it went away. I drove as normal and went into Autozone to get some supplies for my other vehicle, the lights came on and everything was normal. Self-check came out ok. This morning, everything was ok. Is this a glitch? My car is under warranty and if there is something they need to fix, I think I should have them fix it. What do you think?

Does the CPO warranty mean I have to go to the same dealer I bought it from?

Called my closest Stealership, Diablo Audi in Concord, CA. I told the service guy (Ron)that I have a CPO warranty and explained to him my problem. He explained to me that the CPO warranty would only cover the bill if he is able to find a problem. Otherwise I would have to pay for the labor incurred while "chasing around a problem he couldn't find". So unless it is more consistent, he said to save myself the money. Sounds like bullshit to me.

Despite the fact that the glitch is not currently exhibiting symptoms, it is very likely that one or more DTCs has been recorded in the relevant control modules. If you have or know someone with a VAG-COM, you can scan the controllers for any DTCs that may explain why the glitch happened, or not. Any Audi independent repair shop can scan the car for stored DTCs for a nominal fee.
