I know there are millions of post of vag-com but is the PALM IIIc VAG-OBDII the same thing or no. I'm getting mine in today and want to do seat belt chime delete, the turn signal on only when turning, and the city light delete. Please provide my the info or if this is the same as the other post please provide me the link, thank you

the control modules and adaptation channels you access are the same. the exact procedure to do this are not since the applications are different.

thought there was a code so only the bixeon would be on and the tun signal and city light would be off? may be wrong. but i do need all help on the palm vag product a.s.a.p if anyone can help!!

Did you purchase that device through the group buy? I was under the impression that it wouldn't be able to read codes and what not on our cars?

Changing the lights to amber, seat belt and that jazz would work though.

not through the GB but same thing from Adam. All i need it to do it erase the check engine light and what u listed. so i hope it can do the erase check engine light(due to my chip)

Hmm.. you might be out of luck on the engine light thing. That should be controlled by the CAN BUS system and that device insn't compatible with that system.

hmm then im gonna have to get the cel delete for $59 added onto my chip...I'll play around with it tonight and leave feedback for all i guess...

...if your honestly asking what a vag does in general, im not sure youd have much use for one of these in the first place to tell you the truth...
its a diagnostic tool. this one in particular...for what its worth in size and convenience, is GREAT for those pesky CELs, and can clear them on the run (even when your on the freeway heading to work! )
VAG owners know, check engines are a fairly normal thing with own wonderful ECU of a brain.
it also allows for vag mods like the fog mod, or window roll-down on b6s for example...
...and can log certain blocks for more advanced modders/VAG owners..."

On a side note, is the palm a full version of VCDS (capable of data logging, etc) or is it similar to the eBay one? and can only do basic functions AND is the palm can bus?

Euro Headlights & DRL
Module 09 (Central Electrical), recode to ###XY, where:

X = DRL
0 – Halogen without DRL
1 – Halogen with DRL
2 – Bi-Xenon with DRL
3 – Bi-Xenon without DRL
4 – Bi-Xenon with DRL / tail light / license plate light

Y = Locale
1 – Rest of World / Nordic Countries / Denmark / Croatia / Baltic Countries with Bi-Xenon
2 – Nordic Countries / Denmark / Croatia / Baltic Countries without Bi-Xenon
3 – USA / Canada with Bi-Xenon
4 – Canada without Bi-Xenon
5 – Special Vehicles

*Bonus 1* Enable Dashboard Headlight Indicator
Module 17 (Instruments), recode to ??###, where ?? = [existing 2 digit value - 2]

NOTE - This mod tested on bi-xenon cars only; halogen cars may not work as intended.

ok Got the amber blinkers to only be on when they are activated to turn and the seat belt charm is disabled!! :-)

Hasn't been on in a few days it will come and go due to the chip. So once its back on i will let you know. But seatbelt chime delete and turn signal is great. Still trying to figure everything out then i'll do the write-up
