I picked up one of Winston's prototype carbon valance, got it today, and didn't wait too long to put it on. Here are some pics
The unpackaging
It's a real quality piece, the weaves are very nice and clean
Peeling off the stock valance was pretty easy once you get a corner started...
...if you didn't forget to take off the screws! (There are two of them)
A bare ass!
Five minutes later (literally)
Another view
Since this is a prototype, Winston did say that it protrudes out about 1 to 1.5mm on the edge. I can see how this can bother a perfectionist, but I don't worry too much about it. The only thing I might do is to get some black paint or a magic marker and go over the edge so it's not so obvious. I'm sure the final product will be perfect, but it probably won't be sold at what I paid for them!
