Re: WTB: Tranny Mount B6 1.8T Quattro Manual

I've got one I just pulled out a week or two ago, but I have to ask, why get a used mount? The 034 density trans mount is fairly cheap, and is better than the OEM part, and much better than a used OEM part.

I've got an OEM bushing if you need it.

i have the 034 trans mount, to much vibration for my taste. yes, i've loosen all nuts ran car for a few minutes then tighten all mounts (done this three times) but still get to much of vibration for me.

any body have any other suggestions?

I was worried about that when I did mine, and after the first couple days it started vibrating pretty bad, but then I loosened the mounts, let it idle for a minute or so, then tightened everything back down, and it has been fine since. It might be slightly louder than stock when cold, but after it warms up it's no louder than with the old mounts. I don't know why the same process would work differently for you. Did you remove the rubber dust boot from the 034 mount? Did you use the large washer/spacer that came off the OEM mount? Did you do the engine mounts at the same time? Snub?

You can have my OEM mount for shipping costs, but be prepared for sloppy sloppy shifting, and I don't have the center bolt that goes with it (stripped head, had to cut it).
