Crunchy noise coming from wheel.. Wheel Bearing??

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
ok when driving in a straight line at low speeds i hear what sounds like I am rolling over pebbles. Thats the best way I can hear it. It might happen at higher speeds also but it is not audible due to engine noise and outside noises. The car is pretty low on 19s. Can this be the wheel bearings??

I dont think that its rubbing only because it made this sound prior to me installing the new wheels. Im just noticing it more now because I used to think it was my axle which had a torn boot. I replaced the axle and the sound is still there

yah the axle is brand new from Raxles... I think i might be describing the sound wrong.. It doesnt happen all the time. It is somewhat random but its happening more often now..I cant really think of a better description.. maybe like slightly crumpling a candy wrapper? its not loud at all and if anyone else drove my car it would just sound like im driving on pebbles

Sounds like you might have something caught (like a tiny rock/pebble) inbetween your rotor and pad.

Try driving in reverse and slamming on the brakes

Could be "pad rattle." Did you change your brake pads to aftermarket type.
Or could be your control arm bushings are shot if you are lowered.
