really weird 1st gear problem

alright whenever i am moving in first gear there is this strange smell which i think is coming from the passenger side front wheel. i notice it whenever i leave a stop light or pull into a parking spot. it kind of smells like brakes or burned rubber when someone burns out.. but im not braking or burning out.. dont really understand.. does this sound familiar to anyone? once i get out of first everything is fine.

could be a number of things.
Once you're out of 1st gear you're going fast enough that you won't smell anything coming from your car.
Check you brakes to see if they're hanging up or dragging. Could be a leaky Lathe Cut seal in the caliper causing brake fluid to smoke up on hot brakes.
There's lots of options. Get under the beast and look.
