in all honesty all kidding aside, i had a very difficult time watching that video. Not because its a 160k car, or because its an Audi or because it was German. But for one simple reason, the car is a piece of art! After watching that i really don't feel well.

the sad thing, is that you're probably right! well, at least close to MSRP. I think that Audi sends them dumbed down versions of the cars for smashing and bashing, but still! i mean, those wheels are still good... we'll take 'em!

Funny vid. But I can't help but be upset about that many R8's being wrecked. I mean, sure its for a movie. But with the R8, you just dont' do something like this to it. As stated above, it's a work of Art.

^^^However it's not some limited edition rare car.
It's going to be produced for many years to come with many powerplants. The v8 is weak sauce for that car. Once they do a nice v10 or TT version it will, in my eyes, warrant the $150k pricetag, and might persuade me away from getting that 09 Vantage

i didn't cringe at all. i love Audi's, but the R8 isn't the super exotic that some of you make it out to be. If I had the cash to buy one, it wouldn't be at the top of my list. plus, those cars were obtained to be wrecked. Oh, and if you can afford an R8, don't worry, you can order one exactly how you want it, and with better powerplants in the future.

I cringed much more when Eddie Griffen wrecked a $1 mil + Enzo at a charity event for the movie Redline.
