Hey, all, I've been seeing a bunch of older Audi's on the road that has yellowed headlight covers. How do we prevent this from happening to our cars?

wash them...people that just dont straight up take care of their cars. Polishing and waxing will take care of it.

Really? I know that the yellowing is a chemical reaction from the sun, so if you polish you basically need to remove all of the "yellowed" layers of plastic. Is Meguiar's that good? I saw a kit at Kragen's that involves sanding the lens, then polishing.

Another product I've used you can actually buy at wallmart (can't think of the name) for $9. Its a pack of 6 little buffing pads and a jig that will mount in any cordless drill. You then essentially buff out all the yellow. I've used this successfully on mustang headlights and older dsm headlights.

I can't recall off the top of my head, but it was in the automotive section, and was really easy to find.

My wife bought some NASCAR aerosol stuff from a guy selling it out the back of his car at a gas station - it's like a way or something - cleared the haze of the lights on her car.
