B7 S-Line multi-function steering wheel with airbag!!!

Ok people, I need to sell this, as I really need the cash for other things right now. Like my seats. I have a like new B7 three spoke multifunction air leather steering wheel, with the correct airbag in like-new condition as well. Harness is on the airbag, so you won't need that.

Bump. $700 shipped. And I believe I have the correct centering ring for it, so you would just need the control module and a 4 pin connector to install this in a B6. Or just the wheel and airbag for a B7, unless you are adding multi-function, which would require all the same parts as the B6 swap, besides the 4 pin conector for the airbag.

No. They were sold a long time ago, but I might get a DTM B7 steering wheel in a couple days as part of a lot I'm buying for my car, and that will probably go up for sale, since I have my plans now for my steering wheel, and I don't think the DTM wheel would match too well.

To put any B7, Mk2 TT, or R8 wheel on a B6 you will need the cancelling ring, the control module, and a 4 pin connector. You can mount the steering wheel without the multifunction stuff working with just the 4 pin connector and then take it back off later and replace the parts you need to make the functions work. That would spread out your purchase price over time. Here's the install thread from AZAudi. Fairly simple too.

That's a good question. I think the wheel and airbag are all you need. But I'm going to do a bit of research on that question.

Sorry, but the module isn't included in the price. The wheel and airbag from the dealership will set you back over $1k, and I'm asking less then what I paid for it. The price won't be dropping much more.

I just realised that I had a pic from a previous steering wheel I sold. That was the old paddle shift one I used to have. I ended up with that one when the guy who sold it to me apparently didn't understand "I need the one without paddles".

As far as I know, it fits. The splines are the same for the wheel itself.

So, I could mount this in my B6 A4 without buying any other parts except a 4 pin connector, and the only problem is the multi-function buttons will not work? The airbag should still work right?

With the control module and canceling ring i will be able to use the multi-function buttons to controll my symphony stereo?

Any idea if this is thicker than the B6 sport steering wheel, and if the diameter is the same, smaller or bigger?

Yes, yes, yes, and I haven't ever seen the B6 sport wheel in person, but it's smaller than my stock B6 wheel, and it feels thicker too. Definitely a nice feel to it.

OK, I have a B7 with all the right options on the wheel. So I am guessing this one will just fit in with no problems or any other items being used? Does this need to be installed by the dealer?

Nope, you can fit this yourself. In fact, yours is easier than anyone else. All you have to do is disconnect the battery, look behind the wheel for the two screws that hold the airbag to the wheel. They will be under plastic caps near the base of the wheel. Then you pull out on the airbag and disco the wire harness from there. After that, there is a nut that holds the wheel on the spline. For you it will be plug and play. Let me know if you're interested, since I have someone interested in the airbag seperately.

Bump. And I'll have a non-multifunction B7 DTM steering wheel in a few weeks too. Got it in a package to get the shifter. Now I just need the ebrake handle.
