Laser Star's Laser Jammer System - Anyone have any info?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi Guys,

I have been looking into Laser Star's jamming setup and I have a need some input from you guys. They are currently running a sponsorship deal that ends up only costing $75 for a single head laser jammer setup which sounds too good to be true but at least 3 users on this board alone have confirmed they got their jammers for only $75 so that’s cool.

I am having some reservations in dealing with this company for several reasons so far…

First, I cannot find any un-biased testing information available on the internet. The only site I found was laserjammertests.com but it looks like they are either (a) owned by Laser Star, USA or (b) they work in conjunction with Laser Star. With that said, I am pretty positive that their results are skewed or not valid at all. Keep in mind that is purely my opinion just going by what I found on the site and I have no real evidence to go on other than the Blog page.

Second, I did a WHOIS lookup on the domain to see who owns the domains I am referring to and ALL THREE are private (laserjammertests.com, laserstarusa.com, laserstar.info). This is what is really weirding me out since when you do the same WHOIS request on http://www.laser-interceptor.co.uk you get all the company’s information.

    Laser Star Websites:
    http://www.laserstar.info
    http://www.laserstarusa.com

Sponsorship Program that I'm referring to:
    http://www.laserstarusa.com/#/orderonline/4528627912

    Biased Testing Site (IMO):
    http://www.laserjammertests.com

So that’s all that I have come across so far so now it is time to ask…
Does anyone have any real testing videos or personal experience with using this product or dealing with this company? (Opions on this topic would also be greatly appreciated)

Thanks Java, I bugged you a little bit ago regarding the install :-) Hope you don't mind all the questions.

I spoke with one of the reps today from Laser Star and he assured me that laserjammertests.com & laser star are not affiliated.

I sent over another PM to you to get some more information on the testing they let you do with the system if you wouldn't mind.

I have the laser star and I will say I have been so very impressed with my setup. I have met the guys at laserjammertests.com and the laser star rep. and they were totally cool and they taught me alot. I had my laser star installed by Ian (laser star installer) and he took his time but it is a rock solid install and I am glad he did a great job. I had a great time having my Audi shot at with all the different styles of lidar guns and my audi is on the laserjammertests.com site for viewing. I have no problem with letting people know about this system because it does work and has saved me 5 times so far. I have posted pics of my install and I would not have done it if I did not see the demo's first and if I did not believe in the product.

Do you have any videos of your jammer in action that are not from laserjammertests.com or laser star directly?

I just found another thread from a few other people who were concerned with the performance of Laser Star, http://www.audiforums.com/m_843531/tm.htm

Dude...you dont have to buy it or get sponsored if you dont believe the members on this site that it works. You can see in the videos of my car that it works. I would not have had it installed on my audi if it did not work. I have been hit with laser 5 times and it has saved me so it works. The guys at laser star is doing some very special that no other company does for us.

Oh forgive me for getting other users opinions and input. Jeez what was I thinking?

I was not saying that I do not believe other members. In fact I have been speaking with Java and I do believe him due to his first hand experience and his long time membership to this forum. I have just found a lot of conflicting information on the product as well as others who are equally as concerned.

I’m just looking for some more first hand user experience from people who are reputable on this board like biketsai & java. Not people who just signed up on June 2, 2008 and have only posted regarding laser jammers & speeding tickets.

I've been in contact with them, and they have always been very knowledgable and professional.

Obviously I have not seen any first hand tests, but JaVa did say his single head did pretty well when it was tested.

I will be ordering through the sponsorship program shortly once I get some money..lol

Yeah. I'm glad that JaVa was able to see the tests in person. That's why I'm still pursuing getting more user's opinions and input.

Whatever guy.....I have seen it work, I shot the guns and I have been saved 5 times in laser traps with my system. You say that you believe Java who has seen the laser star in action but you still are too afraid to go through it. I'm not goin to argue with you or anyone else but get a million opinions and you will want a million more. I did the sponsorship and I got my refund back and so did others on this site and they have stated so. Conflicting information means nothing to me....look on the boards and you will see conflicting infomation about Audi's that they break down all the time but we still have them and enjoy them...that is what I'm trying to say....

You seem super defense over a company you are not affiliated with. Thanks for your input though. I'm glad you're happy with the system.

Hope I can find a product that I am that adamant about defending even though I have no affiliation with them.

Re: Laser Star's Laser Jammer System - Anyone have any info?

I'm not defensive at all. This is how it went down....

    I attended a demo...

I saw cars get hit with laser while they had the laser star on their cars....

I shot the different laser guns.....That was alot of fun.

I went through and pulled the trigger.....

I just guess its harder for some to pull the trigger but all they do is complain about it. I dont care if you get it or not...Im not part of that company, it works for me and that is all I care about....But dont complain when the sponsorship is over because I know for business sense this is going to last forever and then your going to complain that you missed out and everyone else got a great deal.

Re: Laser Star's Laser Jammer System - Anyone have any info?

First of all, I dont think that they are sketchy people at all. The US rep called me last week about the sponsorship and didnt even ask me for money upfront and did not want me to send in money without either of us knowing when the product would arrive (they are low on stock). I have seen laser videos and they have def caught my attention. A laser jammer is a laser jammer, its not like they had a video of them shooting a remote control at the car. I do not believe the laser jammer test website is affiliated with Laser Star. If you do see a video of a B7 a4, he is also a guy who has the jammer that posted his video experience online.

Edit: lol I just realized that Audi 2.0 is the B7 guy.

You're right. Thanks for getting this back on track.

I am currently looking for someone with a lidar gun in my area so that I can try out the single head unit on camera. I don't think I am going to try out the dual head system until I have a chance to test out the single (cheaper) head system. After that if it works I will call up and buy another head for my setup.

PS. If anyone is local to the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, shoot me a PM or post here so we can meet up and take some test videos.

I'm sorry....I guess some people are more information gathers and some are more impulse buyers, too each their own. Your right...lets keep this all on a positive note..its about helping us all with not getting tickets.
