I tried to search, but have come up empty handed.

Does the stock b7 S-Line/sport suspension fit on a b6?

They didn't change the suspension for the B7, it will bolt right up.

How come? Will B7S4 shocks & springs not swap into a B6 A4, or just ride height issues?

    why?

worst case scenario the front of an a4 would sit a LITTLE bit higher on S4 springs because it lacks 4 cylinders worth of weight up front...

what will probably happen is the s4 springs may be a little stiffer, and you'll never notice the difference in height

That was my impression, but I'm pretty new to Audis so I had to ask. I'm more after the ride/handling improvement. I had a 2008 A4 3.2 S-Line as a loaner last week, and I was impressed with the highway manners, & how there was little if any compromise in ride comfort. I'm hoping the B7 S4 shocks/springs will firm up my Cab's boatish tendencies on the highway, & I think curb weights of a B6 3.0Q Cab are close to a B7 S4 (hopefully F/R distribution is similar too). I'm also fine with a stock-ish ride height for now.
