VMR RS4 Reps rub with 235/45/19 tires on 2004 S4

Picked up a set of used VMR RS4 rep wheels from a fellow audizine member who apparently decided not to disclose the fact that the 235/45/19 tires he has on these wheels rub on a B6 S4 w/ stock suspension. It seems to be worse in the front and only happens over large bumps (ie speed bumps or some driveway entrances).

I am wondering what the recommended tire size for these wheels should be and how can I confirm the offset of the wheels to ensure this isn't the problem?

Is there a problem with me driving around on these tires for a week or two until I figure something out? During a typical work commute they might rub once or twice.

yeah wrong tire size, depending on the width of the tire, but i know 19" wheels should have 35 sidewalls on them thats for sure, rofl 17" uses 45's, i would try 235-35-19, you should be good then.

Just wanted to double check, just placed my order for new tires from Tire Rack. I ordered 245/35ZR19 General Exclaim UHP tires ... you had them for a very good price with the $50 rebate offer. Just want to confirm that these should fit my 19" wheels without any rubbing. Wondering if you had comments on these tires and using them all-season??

All season ability of these tires is very limited, as the rubber compound is essentially a summer only compound. Tire will get slick when temps get near freezing.

Our quote from the product description online :

While meeting minimum tread design standards to be "M+S" branded, the Exclaim UHP is designed to provide high levels of traction, response and control in dry conditions, along with superior hydroplaning resistance in wet conditions. We do not suggest Exclaim UHP tires be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
