finally painted my s4 valence to match

as the title says, I finally painted my s4 valence as the flat silver color was bugging me. Anyone else have the s4 valence and painted it? If so post em up.

i had a silver 02 Dub, it was so hard to match the color to newly painted valences. i can tell your colors are off, thats why i went with a black car this time. i believe i read Silver is the hardest color to match

lol, its true the silvers are hard to match, one thing thats interesting is that my rear bumper had a scratch and scuff in it from some idiot trying to parallel park, so i had the bumper sanded down and painted at the same time as the rear valence, so they actually are the same color. I think that because the silver shows so many shadows in it, even if the paint was matched perfectly it would still look different, depending on lighting and the angles of the different panels. Because in the pics, the bumper and the valence obviously look different to me too. Whereas, if you look at the top of the trunk lid's color and the valence, they look the same to me. Bottom line: silver sucks to work with. But I still love it

I think it looks clean, and this further confirms that silver is one of the most difficult colors to match.

My bumpers on my last two silver audi's looked "unmatched" out of the factory in certain light. Silver will always be that way. It is what it is.

Tips look good especially since they don't stick out so far like other set-ups I've seen. Looks oem.

Thing is, the painter might just took the colour code and made the colour...
Whereas a good painter, gets the colour from the reservoir cap, so as to colourmatch it with the colour at the situation that it is now, and not as it was when bought...
Cause the truth is, after leaving the car on the sun, the colour changes in a couple of years...See it if u debadge after a year or so, what I mean...

I painted mine black to match the front grill that I changed to a black RS4 grill. IMO it gives the rear contrast and looks very good.

an s4 valence u can prob pick up on here for under 100 bucks. the paint job will run approx 200 bucks depending on the shop
