    What happened to Nalley?

John Huber doesn't work there anymore. He was the only reason I take my car there (120+ mile drive one way). Consider this a warning about Nalley.

Friday on my way home from work I got a CEL (first one in almost 48k miles). I call Nalley and ask if I can get in tomorrow as I'll be up there getting my new rims put on. The new service adviser says, sure, but tells me it's probably just the gas cap. I ask where John is and am told he doesn't work there anymore (they're hush-hush about it).

I check my car right quick, seems ok, so I drive on. The next day I get up to Butler Tires and get my new rims put on, then go to Nalley.

I'm told right off the bat that having the codes looked at will be a minimum charge of $110.00 even if there is nothing that can be done. If there is something that can be done, then the vag is free.

I live to far away to come back if there is an issue. I tell them to vag it and I'll pay the fee.

Car is throwing a coilpack code on cylinder one for periodic interruptions. I had the 50,000 mile service done 2,500 miles ago at Nalley (this included new plugs).

The tech. works on my car and after a few hours (they told me it'd be super quick) I ask what the deal is. So they tell me that there is some gunk on the spark plug that needs to be cleaned and they're almost done. I had them check all plugs at that point.

They finish and I'm waiting for the bill, sure enough they charge me for cleaning the spark plug. I ask the new guy why. My car is CPO'd and Nalley just did the 50,000 service? They don't stand behind their work anymore? He says it's considered maintenance. Then he said that if the plug or coilpack needed to be replaced then everything would have been covered by warranty.

I'm already late, so I paid them.

Basically, I'm done with these dudes. I shouldn't have had to pay for the service esp. since they did the spark plugs a month ago. I don't know if the service manager is trying to raise their revenue.

I do know that if John had been there, he'd have done the right thing and stood behind the work.

I had my 35k service done at Tom Williams Audi in Irondale, AL (East side of Birmingham). The service manager (Miguel) was very friendly.

RingTec Atlanta across the street from Nalley (literally): Paul Meredith is 20+ years Audi certified. He is a major supporter of the gearheads amongst us.

Can't explain- I met the service manager and she is cool, especially with knowledgeable afficionados. They support us locally.

Rhylands, in Marietta is another, listed in QQ magazine, but we haven't met.

John Cassara- Ellis sr tech and has a business on the side. VERY good also, and also active in ACNA stuff.
The Spartans do not enquire how many enemy there are. They enquire only where they are.

You aren't the only one that has had their problems with Nalley. I would explain the story but it is way too long. Anyways I have to echo what Ted said about Paul @ Ringtec Atlanta. Paul is very professional and has saved me thousands of dollars. I had an oil leak and took it to Ringtec for Paul to take a look at it and he was very honest with me and didn't even charge me to take a look at it! My best advice to you STAY AWAY FROM NALLEY!.

    Re: What happened to Nalley?

I second that. Nalley sucks! I called the BBB on them for the half ass job they did on a recall. Couldn't even put my Stat intake back properly and they are the ones who originally installed it. Also pulled a wire from my battery and it threw a check engine light. Their excuse was it was on when they drove it in the garage. If that was the case, they should of told me then and not 2hrs afterwords after they drove the car back plus they wanted to charge me to scan it to see what it was. I'm never going there again... no matter how many coupons they send me...
