    ?
    HD= stock pedal effort
    SS = > stock pedal effort

    SB HD clutches stage 1 thru 3 are same pedal effort as stock but different engagement due to clutch plate materials. Which HD are you looking at? The stage 1 clutch is supposed to mimic stock.

    12/23/09 - My car has been phenomenal to me. Runs strong. Don't think I'm ever going to sell it. Rather throw $7k into it for a refresh than buy a new A4 that has no dipstick.
    12/5/10 - 100k miles & counting!
    9/22/13 - 146k+ & running strong w/a new TB, water pump, etc.

    Re: HP/Torque capacity for OEM clutch?

    When I had mine replaced, my mechanic offered a VR6 clutch but we went with OEM as he assured me it'd handle up to stage 3 power if I don't bag on it.

    Not sure as to the accuracy, but FWIW I thought I'd chime my two cents into the discussion.

    GL!

    PS -- the OEM LUK RS4 clutch is rated well over 300 hp/tq so that may be a nice option for fittament and feel.

    I'm looking at the OFE HD. Pedal effort doesn't really bother me, but I talked to old guy and he said is OFE SS engagement point was almost to the floorboard. He said it got annoying havin to push the clutch all the way do everytime he had to shift. Also, I was looking for longevity with my clutch and he also recommend the HD for longer clutch life. I don't think I'm gonna be going crazy with HP for a while so I was thing the OFE HD will probably suit my needs for power right now.
