Well I took the car to the track for a few test runs so I could see how the new catch can setup worked, also to see how the car felt with the kevlar doors and battery relocated to the trunk. Have to say it really sucks hitting the track in 100 deg temps and 4000+ ft adjusted altitude at a track that is around 1400 ft elevation, damn I should have just drove to sac.
Well I was only able to run 2 runs since this was a Summit Racing bracket event and I entered the sportsman class which is a 12.0 or slower class, did this because I know I would get the boot anyway if I ran the car at 100%.
First run I bogged hard enough to only get a 1.942 60 ft, then ended up not getting into 3rd gear, put it in 5th and then was able to get back into 3rd to finish up the run with a 12.9 at 106 mph. LOL, damn that sucked. But the good news is that there was zero oil spit out of new catch can which is one of the reasons I went to the track to check.
Second run, still bogged off the line for a 1.799 60 ft but was able to run the whole track without a problem. That run gave me a 11.046 at 133.61 mph with a 7.316 at 105.72 in the 1/8th. In all a good day even though the conditions really sucked to the point that nearly everyone was sitting in their cars between runs with the AC going including myself.
Would have tried for a better run but I was already running faster then the class I entered and plus I was waiting to get the boot for running faster then 11.5, so I just packed up and left the track.
BTW while going thru tech I noticed that they now have a digital scale, so after tech I put it on and the weight of the car is 2818 lbs without me in it and with about 5-7 gallons of fuel in the tank. With me in it the scale said around 2975-2980 lbs.
