Im surprised that you are stuck on the fronts but are done with your rears! It was the other way around for me. The rear was a biatch to install, but the front I can do it by myself in like 20 mins. I don't remember all the steps off the top of my head, but I have it saved on a microsoft word file and a pdf..if you are interested pm your email and I will send it.

    PM SENT! :)

I spent 5hrs on the rears, yes it was a pita, but i got it done.

Then i spent 3hrs on the front, and i gave up, coz i couldnt get the control links out!

I guess i didn't have the right tools.

If you're stuck with the pinch bolt then there's a few ways to get it out. Air chisel, BFH, you can take the nut off and try to turn it out from the head.........but,

what I did, was take off the nut and insert a bunch of washers onto the end of the bolt. Screw the nut on so the washers are sandwiched between the hub carrier and the nut. Take a dremel or some kind of cutting wheel and cut the bolt through one of the slot on the hub carrier. Twist the nut, and the head part of the bolt. It will snap the bolt and you can twist it out that way. Took 15 min.

Have you taken the pinch bolt completely out? If you don't there's no way it's coming apart.

Sometimes things can get bound up- try disconnecting the sway bar.

Not sure what you mean about B6 and B7 being different. I've done both and they're identical.
"Obsessed" is a word that the lazy use to describe the committed.

you have to take the bolt out first thing or else you're never going to get it off of there. if you do that first before anything else its a cinch

what exactly are you trying to pry???
i followed this diy exactly and you dont need to pry a single thing on the front, its actually quite straight forward. im having trouble understanding where youre having trouble.
remove the steering link and the control arms and everything seems to slide out pretty easily
