Comparison Vid: Stock vs. Milltek & AWE Downpipes

The $399 for the AWE downpipes was money well spent. Opened up the sound of the Milltek exhaust that much more, but remains more tame than stock at idle. Mid-Range pull has increased while first gear jerkiness is just about gone due to less torque down low.

The stock exhaust sounds great until you punch it and the sound just dissipates. As the car takes off, the sounds simply goes with it.

Would you say the exhaust was a worthy purchase then even if you forgo the down pipe? Were both cars automatics?

The Milltek sounds fine without the downpipes, but with them it's just totally nuts when you get on it. The video just doesn't capture how this thing screams under WOT.

It sure did get the birds chirping....lol

Both cars are 6mt.....can't you hear the shift?

Where exactly in Sac are you? My parents live in North Highlands and my car will be there in 3 weeks. Maybe we can hook up and you can hear for yourself....

The wait time right now they say is 6 months. I'm doing EU delivery so it might be a bit shorter (a month or so).

I'm near downtown Sacramento. I'd love to hear it when you're in town, that would be great! PM me when you're headed this way and I'll shoot you my number.

Good to know. I can't wait to get some goodies on mine. Does Tubi make an exhaust for the S5 yet?

Re: Comparison Vid: Stock vs. Milltek & AWE Downpipes

Miltek sounds great. They never drone and fitment is perfect, but some people will always say they aren't loud enough.

Milteks have a "could have come from the factory" sound to them.

If there is interest in a Tubi exhaust, its possible one might be developed. There are very few S5s arriving right now and demand really isn't there.

A Tubi Rumore (Loud) on an S5 would be amazing though.
