AWE Boost gauge issue

well im posting this from my cell phone so hopefully it shows up. however since my awe boost gauge install my gauge vibrates and rattles against the front of it. im speaking in regards to the actual needle. i cant seem to get it to stop doing that whenevr i give that car gas. i have changed the nipple on the t-fitting but that hasnt done much of anything. is this normal or possibly a gauge issue?

When mine was installed they attached a yellow air filter looking thing to the tube running from the boost guage to where it was tapped in to make it so it didn't rattle.

what does that do...? im guessing dampen out the spikes in pressure goin to the gauge?

The fuel filter they provide is used to help filter out the pulsations in the airstream which is causing the gauge to rattle.

You can buy such a small fuel filter at Napa. We also sell anti-buzz restrictors at Podi.

yea just did, mike took care of me already. I might add AWE has very good support got the issue resolved in 5 minutes.

I've been trying to get my gauge since january. was backordered until a few weeks ago, then the UPS tracking site said it was still "in transit" 2 weeks after it was shipped. Called UPS, they said it was supposed to have been delivered. Now they're trying to locate it....this is the most trouble I've ever gone through ordering something. But at least AWE has been cooperative/patient in their customer service. I just want my gauge

My awe gauge did do that as well. I unhooked my negetive to the battery for awhile.. came back hooked it back up started the car and let it idle for 15 min. Dont touch the gas at all. Let the engine notice the difference with the gauge on there. Its a small hose but the difference in pressure does matter. Hope it helps.

When did it flutter? Idle, under load, or cruzing?

Well I finally got my gauge and installed it. Looks really nice, but I'm having flutter problems too. I emailed for support, but the response was that the new gauges shouldn't need it. I checked for kinks in the line, but found none. Anyone find out what specific filter it is? Or Alex, can I get one from you please?

i installed the fuel filter that they sent me and the issue is gone, it works great

Yeah I didn't get one of those in my kit, since the new ones aren't supposed to need them.

Can anyone confirm on letting the engine idle after dis/reconnecting the battery?
