Low speed tranny clunk/surge fix maybe...

Well I have been having an issue with my Tranny at lower speeds occasionally where it surges or clunks when shifting. This would happen when accelerating or slowing. I remember seeing this on AW forever ago and finally found it. Did the right up with a rag and some brake clean. Took about twenty minutes. Really surprised at the black gunk that I pulled out of the TB, made me want to pull the whole thing and clean it. Regardless, its been about week since I did it and the low speed surging is gone. Theory that I have read is that the gunk gets in the way of the TB opening and closing quickly, so thats the reason for the surge. Hope maybe this will help someone else.

I know how much you guys like seaching on AW, so here is the link....

Well I removed the piping going into the throttle body. I took a lint free towel and sprayed it with brake clean. I then wiped down the unit and pressed in the blades so I could get the inside too. Mucho gunk on the inside. Kept changing the part of the towel I was using so it would be clean. Hope that helps some
