APR Chip boost cycles..

I just got an APR chip, and when I gas it at around 2k rpm, the boost builds decently quick to 16psi, and hold there until about 4500/5000 rpm, then it slides down to 10psi all the way to redline.
Is this normal? Or should I be getting 16 all the way to redline?
With stock it held the 7psi till redline.

its working normaly. the ko3 can't hold 16 till redline.

It doesnt hold because thats the way the wastegate is set-up. I have herd of kids fiddling with the wategate to keep it closed longer, though I dont support the idea on a Ko3.

sounds like my k03's wastegate actuator is too tight then.
I get boost creap or overboost past 100mph.
shifting into 3rd it hits 21psi and about 90mph i'm at 17psi and continues to climb

^ and you have APR Software? Im Flashed APR (01 A4) and I spike/hold 17/18 and I have around 9psi before redline. And I have no boost leaks/issues. (knock on wood).

Which IIRC is a perfectly working software.

Same for me. 2001 APR flashed peaks 16 psi and holds no more than 10 till redline. boooo

im happy to hear this doesnt only happen to me...i was getting sick of looking for boost leaks and was sure i had got them all.....apparently this is normal operation for a k03S as well

I have a neuspeed .8 bar supposedly. in 5th at 2000-3500 it'll hold 11psi no prob, then it starts creaping up in the higher end of the power band.

Sorry If im thick headed, but how are you hitting 21psi on a neuspeed .8 bar chip?

The boost should not creap up like you are explaing, Sounds like your wastegate is not working properly.

I know wastegate must be wayyyyy to tight.
no cel light though.
I don't really do it very often with gas prices being so high.
Actually at 300 miles on this tank and have over 1/3 tank left.

I got a used k03s without an actuator and left the old one where the stop nut was adjusted since i couldn't find anything definitive on how to set it up.
