Coilpacks - 2 in one day!

So knowing coilpacks are a problem with our cars I always drive around with an extra just in case. Yesterday I had to pick up some things 3 hours away. After the pick up, 1 of the packs goes. No problem I had a replacement. Then I get back home and another goes roughly 2miles from my house. So this makes all four replaced in the last 4 -5 months. The car has 110,000 km on it now. How long shoud I expect the new coilpacks last?

So you replaced all four of your original ignition coils? I would assume you should be fine for a while considering the revised ones supposedly fixed the previous design flaw. I hope at least because I'm in the same boat as you.

just by anecdotal experiences, they tend to go in bunches. I had one go a month or so ago and then another one went right after I replaced the first.

Replace all 4 at the same time. I think replacing one at a time accelerates failure on the others. I've had to replace 12 in 18 months. I got tired of replacing these damn things as they went, so last time I just changed them all. Hopefully that makes a difference. I
