06 A4 Grill

Ok new guy here with a question, tried to search with no avail... If someone can help me answer this it'd be appreciated.

I've seen different grills on the "new front end" (2005.5+ models) with and without the square license plate plastic part.

Let me show you with pictures... WITH the plastic square...

WITHOUT the square...

Is what i'm seeing a different grill that only the s4's have or what? I'd like to have the grill without the square for my '06 2.0T. Can someone lead me in the right direction? Thank you!

you neeed a filler plate, it will not be necessary to change the whole grill

thanks for the reply. that's why i couldn't find anything on it, because i was just searching 'grill'.

non s-line fillers out there?

you can buy them at audi dealerships or online. online may be cheaper not exactly sure

Maybe its just me, but I actually like the look of the square grill more...especially on black. But I've noticed my area usually has the no square grill, so I think it depends on whether your area requires a front license plate or not, for which grill is predominately sold.
