Avant only GTG

Ok, after seeing Michgo's request for an Avant only photo for the Audizine contest, and seeing all the Avants that are in the area, I think it's time for an Avant only GTG (thanks jrau).

I think a lot of the avants for Michgo's photo wanted to meet down in the OC, but I'm seeing that there's a few of us up here in Pasadena and the surrounding areas, so I'd love to have one up here. Maybe a GTG and Angeles Crest run, or just hanging out. Anyone have thoughts on appropriate days/times/locations? Otherwise I'll just look to throw something out there.

The Crest is a fun drive. I wish that highway 39 went through to the Crest but it's been closed for years... There are a couple towns, like Monrovia or Sierra Madre that have a small downtowns that could be cool to hang out in.

Monrovia wouldn't be bad. There's a street fair/farmers' market on Friday nights, and there some good places for us to park and hang out. Some decent restaurants, and a bar to play pool and throw a couple back. We could always cruise after that - over to Colorado Blvd. or something.

^^^^^^This guy cracks me up. Not sure if you remember me, but I did the tip recode mod on your car about a year ago...still have not seen you in the Cerritos area and I drive through and around there constantly.

Ok - to Avant or not to Avant.

I'm not opposed to having everyone else along for the ride - especially if we do a run. I agree with Chronic, though, that it'd be nice to get a bunch of Avants together regardless.

I am down for a meet, but had to put my 17" stockers back on, was on my way back from Vegas Sunday night and hit a ladder on the freeway doing over 80, extremely lucky that I did not put her into the wall, but bent the shit out of my two front rims. I am in shock that I did not do any other damage, but after I hit it, the debris flew up and hit the guy behind me dead smack in his front bumper, and bounced off the top of his windshield and roof. His car was F'd up, and he about pissed his shorts. Anyways, let me know when, and I will be there.

Please try for the weekend (pref. any Sat.) so I can come and photos will be fantastic during daytime instead of Friday night with traffic. It would be my first GTG since joining the Audi Camp (Sorry fanatics and clubis). This would be a porn convention for me and well worth the gas. Maybe I can motivate some other Avants from up here to carpool.

Nothing much man, just trying to stay cool with all the hot weather of late (and it will only get worse...heat soak!!! ) It could have been me as I drive through there every once in a while. 7/19 Works for me and near my mom's bday. 2 birds. I'm in.
This will be fantastic. I really don't care where in SoCal this is, but I definitely would love some part of the meet/run to get somewhere near the beach if that is possible. I look forward to meeting the brethren...and hopefully there will be another '05 Arctic White S4. I'm excited to see the member photo skills too. I look forward to meeting u all.

SoCalS4Avant: would you mind putting an invite in the NorCal forum, or would you like me to? I would be happy to help organize the carpool from up here too. I still have dealer plates on the wagon, so I obviously am really new to this forum (and Audi), but I've been active on all my past car forums. Just let me know if there is any way I can help.
