New B6 A4 1.8T owner

wats going on guys!!!

i am new to the boards and new to audi's as well! I am very excited to say that my wife and I [picked up an 05 A4 b6 last night.

I have a very noob question and hopefully i will not get flamed for it. Looks like we have projectors in our headlights. Can I swap out the lights right now and upgrade them to HIDs? If so, it is a size H7 xenon? I am very confused, I did numerous searches on the baords and referring them as xenons and non-xenons? I will post pics when I get home, but just wanted to upgrade my lights first as I have never had projectors.

oh yeah... WE LOVE our A4... just came from a Nissan Armada and love how our gas mileage is on the audi, lol... just beautiful!

Welcome! Well depending on when in the year your car was manufact you will have either xenon or bi-xenon housings. I have a 05 B6 with bi xenon headlights and love them. A good site to go to is A4mods.com.

bi-xenon means that it has dual projectors in the housing? low and high beams? if so, then I only have one projector, meaning xenon? sorry guys... just a NOOB... lol...

can you tell i am very new? lol...

so can i just upgrade the lights to HIDs in the projectors?

2005 AUDI A4 Sedan (With HID (high intensity discharge) headlamps)

Low beam headlamp
HID-D1S - The D1S has a smaller lens than the D2S. I have a 05 B6 with
D2S. The housing of my headlamp is grey (D2S), not silver like most (D1S). It would take to much mod to change the projector. I haven't seen anyone with it done.

High beam headlamp
H7

USP- Different front end, sport suspension which is red if you look behind the wheel, door blades.

it comes with different rims and different front and rear bumpers and maybe a few other things
try a4mods under bodykits

Welcome! Not to hijack or anything... but my car came with the regular bumpers but with the sport suspension and wheels... It's an 03. What does that mean? I don't think they were upgraded by previous owners because it was owned by a business as an executive car
