    I hate wheel shopping

Right, so the wheels I had decided to get (Moda MD10), I can't because the vendor is out of business. So now I'm looking again for a 5 spoke black center w/ polished lip wheel. I would like to stay under 250 a wheel but can't find crap. I was starting to look at the TSW Jarama but have been reading posts about them being soft. I live in MN and some of the roads are like a fat chicks ass. Someone point me in the right direction.
Pic of the wheels I was considering. 18x8 +32 off set.

    '93 BMW 850ci, FE Red/Black - major garage queen

    Previous:
    '01.5 S4 Avant, Silver/Onyx (Sold...miss it a whole lot )
    '98 BMW 328ic, Cosmos/Grey/Black (Sold...miss this one a whole lot, too)

    Re: I hate wheel shopping

The vendor for the Moda wheels is no longer. I can't find anyone else that sells them. Tire rack told me it would take a least 120 days to get them.

    Re: I hate wheel shopping

falkens look kinda hood to me...never seen em on an s4...ive seen the Hanabi's on a nissan maxima for a track wheel only, didnt look bad considering the abuse it went through...id stay away from falkens too.

p.s.- my opinions are slightly biased considering i like the OEM+ look or BBS look (which is pretty played haha)

TSW is a great quality wheel, now as far as prestige, that is another thing. I used to be in the wheel business and TSW is one of the best companies out there to work with and they treat their customers right.

So to say they are junk is not all that right...

I used to rock some Hockingheim's back in the day on my 300zx tt and had no issues with them at all. Not the lightest of wheels but they are reasonably priced and held up well to bumpy roads and potholes.

x3. TSW makes excellent, high quality wheels. I ran both Hock's and Imolas, no complaints with either of those.

sorry mang, all those brands suck balls.

go w something that is STRONG, RELIABLE, and timeless.

ie> BBS, VOLK, WORK, OZ (meh).

trust me on this one. i have had a ton o different brand etc, and cheap wheels are a waste of time and money. you will bedn the, and almost not even worth it to fix them when they get effed up. its $$$, and will only happen again. and of course, they wnt be perfect no matter what. often times you spend the $ and they dont get them straight anywyas.

The cheapest wheels on that list start at like 500 dollars per wheel. His budget is half that. I agree that quality wheels are worth the money. I've never had any problems with TSW wheels though, inexpensive to replace as well. If you are going to run an 18in+ wheel with low profile tires, you risk bending them anyway, I don't care what brand it is.

    Re: I hate wheel shopping

How about these and just powdercoat them black? The seller is asking $400 obo! Note, he/she says et20 but that doesn't seem right (especially if the wheels are the ones in the pics mounted on his/her B5). Also, I don't know who the seller is, I just came across the post and thought it may interest you based on your OP.

you are right to a point, but the OEM BMW BBS wheels bend all the time

TSW is good stuff for the price, there are a lot of quality one piece wheels out there, sometimes 3 piece are a not what you think either unless they are HRE, BBS, etc.

I sold over 3 million dollars of wheels and tires in 3 years and saw A LOT of stuff roll through my warehouse....

All wheels can bend if they are one piece and even two piece if they whole is big enough or over crappy roads for prolonged periods of time.

Three piece wheels are the only way to make sure your wheels arent captian wavy next time you change your tires and look at your wheels.

Take your time and choose a wheel that you like. Dont worry about what Audizine says. Its your car and your going to have to look at it everyday. So its your choice so take your time. I vote for BBS or Work. But thats just me.

    Good luck

    Cheers

Will a 18x9.5 wheel fit in our wheel well? I'm not sure I want to pull the fenders.
