    Re: sufficient fmic?

I've never heard of anyone hating on ebay FMIC's, actually they are a cheap alternative to name brands and they do a decent job from the reviews I've heard and read. Ebay is know for cheap knock-off parts, but when you know what your getting and it has been tested and approved, I'd say go for it. Lots of people on here are running them.

    Re: sufficient fmic?

cxracing should sell a kit for the a4 b5, but if you peice your own together make sure you get a bar & plate core, which that one is, also there is a DIY on here somewhere about piecing together your own tubing kit. I think highoctaners4 (or something like that) did the DIY, but I'm not sure...sorry if it wasnt him.

    Re: sufficient fmic?

There are kits with pre fitted pipes and core (bolt on kit) and there are cores with random piping you have to cut and connect. I like the pre fitted as they are welded eliminating the need for extra couplers which can blow off in hard to reach spots.

also, the pre-fitted ones should have a bead at the end of each piece while the ones you cut will not.. again, the concern is the coupler popping off

+1...if you know what you are buying on ebay it can be a money saver, it's the people who don't read the descriptions or don't do their research that fall for lame tricks on ebay.

    Re: sufficient fmic?

I also did teh ebay thing for $160. I ordered a generic piping set (which is covered in which to buy in the multiple DIY's found on this site). And got an ebay core. Things you might consider are also things such as if you are going to get an s4 bumper or not, because the A4 bumper can only fit a intercooler so big (26x6x2.5). 2" piping should be sufficient for you.

anyone ran this ebay fmic on a RS4 bumper? that price is really interesting. I'm planning on getting K04 sometime this year so maybe I can get this now.
