    Leasing?

Ok, so I'm considering trading in my lemon of an A6 for a new vehicle. I'm thinking that a lease might be a good way to roll. My car is paid off. I was going to get rid of my car in a year when the warranty expires anyway, so if I can trade it in and save myself a payment for at least a year maybe more, then I'm good. And I have a brand new car.

I have read great things about the reliability of the new models. Anyone lease theirs? What are some pros and cons?

I'm also looking at a 535, and possibly even a Passat. I know, I know a lessor of a car, but I never had any problems with my VW's.

    Thoughts are very welcome.

I think you have a tough choice to make. The first being, what type of car do you want? I'm not one to buy a new model just because it has a new bluetooth ass massager or cornering headlights, but rather in what I want in a vehicle. Find the car that would make you happy, and go from there.

I personally wouldn't go for a 535 or Passat. I like to go all the way, instead of buying the base models. One day you might look back and wish you bought the 545, as an example.

I test drove a shitload of cars before I found my S. This is the car that makes me happy, and suits my needs with the versatility of my life for the next 2-3 years. In 2-3 years I may move on to a much different car. Good luck dude...

    Re: Leasing?

I'd say reliability on new Audi's is pretty decent. If you're considering a newer Audi, I'd still have them include the Audi Care New Vehicle plan, which covers your services for the first 45k miles. You can typically negotiate the dealer to include this into your purchase/lease deal. Which Audi are you considering, a newer A6?

As for the 535 and Passat, I don't know much about the Passat, but I'd hardly classify the 535 as a "base" car. The 535 is plenty strong with its 300hp twin turbos. Who needs a V8 that will guzzle more gas and be more to insure? Especially with gas prices the way they are.

Anyhow, if you're looking to lease, if i were you i'd narrow my choices down and get more specific lease info (i.e. terms, mileage, money factor, residuals) on the model. I'm not sure about current Audi leases, but BMW ones have historically been better (one of the many reasons there are so many on the road). It just comes down to which car you prefer.
