    Hey all,

Per some of your suggestions my 2004 A4 1.8L Turbo Quattro PAW, PPX, PQJ, XLP is at the shop getting the APR ECU flash. Excellent shop in San Francisco, called Advanced is doing it. He also offered to add the VAG-COM codes for the remote window open/close and auto locks for free. However, he doesn't have the codes per se, so can one of you kind folks, help? BTW, this cost me $499 out the door.

He actually didn't understand why the other dealers are charging for labor and tax for the flash. Any help, as always will be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Need Vag-Com code ASAP Car is at the shop.

Thanks, see now I'm confused. I saw this earlier and thought that the code would be 03436 (http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/audiB5.html#35) Is that the wrong code? I'm confused and a little math deficient, can you tell me what code they need to input for remote windows and auto locks? Thanks.

    Nevermind that's for a b5...ah crap. Thanks.

However, I still can't figure out the code, may I ask one of you, more math inclined folks to decipher the code for me?

That's right 11884. I did 11880 to remove the selective unlocking.

push the unlock button on the remote once and all the doors and trunk unlocks.

edit - but the trunk does not pop open. ^^ removing selective unlock does that.

^^one push of the lock button locks them all, but to unlock the other doors u'd push unlock twice!

Re: Need Vag-Com code ASAP Car is at the shop.

Ah, LOL the car is literally less than a week old for me and I've done very little driving in it, other then the 60 mile drive home from the dealership and today's drive to San Francisco, it has been sitting. LOL...Well they got the APR flash done, they also got the autolocks done, but was not able to get the remote windows to work, I gave them the new 11884 code to see if it will work. At first he claims this was a US model thing and that US models are void from this working, but I "convinced" him to try it. He'll let me know. They are picking me up at 5:pm PST and I'll know in less than an hour if it is worth the $500! LOL.

He says that my power band will be consistent from the low to the higher (5000 rpm) range and that the throttle would be more responsive.

Since it is so much more of a convenience to have my services done by these guys, they will shuttle me to work, pick me up, etc. I'm thinking of using them. What do you guys think of their prices and choices in oil? They quoted me $75 for an oil "service". Using ELF Total full synthetic and the "upgraded" Audi oil filter. They also quoted me $1000 for the timing belt, when that time comes around, maybe soon (75K) which includes all the drive belts, the tensioner, water pump, coolant, etc. Is that a deal, is it normal?

Re: Need Vag-Com code ASAP Car is at the shop.

The drive home, may not have been the greatest demonstration of the APR stage one, since it was mostly stop and go almost all the way. It definitely feels more responsive on 2nd and 3rd. It was almost surprising, not expecting the pull, especially around the 2K-4K band. I couldn't really run it any harder because of traffic and my passengers. I'll let you know more, as I get to know the car better. But I definitely feel a gain, very noticeable.

Oh, and my windows go up and down now, and all my doors lock with one button, and doors auto lock when over 12MPH, which is pretty cool. Makes me wonder what other cool things I can do with the Vag-Com.

BTW, does anyone know if the 2004 B6 1.8LTQ uses K-line or CAN?

Thanks for everyone that helped, you guys are awesome!
