Ebay LED Tails

I'm looking at possibly picking up a set of LED tail lights off of ebay. The auction I'm looking at looks a bit like the group buy tails.


Has anyone had any experience with these tail lamps? What can I expect in terms of quality..

^^the quality is still bad regardless, the GB tails were horrible quality! but it's worth it, i got some and i love them more than anything else on my car!

What is it with LEDs that are so cool? I guess they are brighter, and the good ones last longer than traditional bulbs, but I don't think that thedesign is perfected for our cars yet. I have heard a lot of bad things about after market LEDs for the B6 and I am convinced that they aren't worth buying.

I see alot of new vehicles using LEDs, but what about Honda? They use to use LEDs on their Accords, but I noticed recently that they switched back to traditional tail lights with their newest model.

The cool factor is just cosmetic in my opinion - it just looks cooler than the standard bulb tails.

^^the fitment is superb as long as u use a thinner weather strip! and Honda switched back because in 2-3 years they'll have to update the car or face-lift it and they'll use their LED's then!

^^correction i'm selling my previous style LED tails, the ones i'm selling were a perfect fit, no bulb out warning, no bad LED's no funky things, the GB ones i bought took lots of modification to work!

These are the main problems with them.


Why wouldn't Honda just use the LEDs on their new model? It doesn't make sense to go from LED to non LED because they are going to facelift in 2-3 years. I think that the LEDs were either having problems or were too expensive for production, but either way I don't think aftermarket LEDs are the best quality.

did you just randomly make that up? haha wow.

fitment is only slightly and issue and the bulb out warning is an easy fix. only problem is the chance that an LED may go out. Other than that they are a cheap way to make your car look more than stock

I don't think Honda used LEDs, just tails that simulated or looked like LEDs.

My bro has LED taillights, fitment was a small issue in terms of the weather strip being in the way. Besides that, no bulb out warnings, no burned bulbs, nothing. Flawless.

I'm not worried about the bulb out warning .. I read the DIY on audiworld (I think that's where it was anyway), and it does not look too difficult to add a resistor.


As for the burnt out LEDs - is it hard to replace them?


Also, in the video above, is your foot on the break pedal or is that how bright the running lights are?

^^running lights! bad camera angle! and as for changing the LED's it's as simple as changing a christmas light bulb! super simple as long as the ones on the circuit boards don't burn out those are a pain!

Keep in mind, these are the knockoffs.
Some idiots purchased off of us a while back, and made some China copies of our tail lights.

1. it was a horrible design.
2. the fitment wasn't even close. NOT EVEN. The tail light was crooked when installed. Both sides pivoted a little in the "counter-clockwise" direction.
3. the "red" trim looked like barbie doll Red. Oem RED> is what you're looking for.
4. the set didn't come with Built-in resistors.
5. Guess what, big surprise, the circuitry design was so 'Genius' it melted the factory wire harnesses.

Ask me how I know.

Do it right. Get the real ones.
Ask around. See who you can get it from.

honda never used led taillights on the accord...maybe the new ones.

What A4 Moda is saying is true. I remember when i was doing research to get my brother his tails. There was some talk about fakes.

Yes, A4 Moda does sell them. I recently purchased a set off of him too and they should be here tomorrow. I'll update you with how everything is, but without having the product in my hands, I can say he is a really good seller. He answered all my questions very quickly via e-mail and was extremely helpful. Only thing I forgot to ask him is what kind of warranty these things come with, but oh well, hopefully I won't need to know
