damn - scratched my bonnet (hood) whilst cleaning it!

Went to the usual jet wash place & there must have been a big sharp bit of grit on the brush coz now I have scratches through to the paint on the bonnet

Have just done my best using a black polish to hide them, but it's gonna need paint

Oh well, no more jet wash, it's gonna be a bucket of AutoGlym & brand new sponge every time from now on!

Use a micro fibre Wash mit. Works great.

Never put a brush on dark paint, ever. I would also never put any type of brush on any paint with a clearcoat either.

A heavy carnuba wax can fill in the some of the scratches depending on how bad they are. Just use a thick coat on the hood and let it haze over for a couple hours, then buff it.

also you should try some Menzerna Super Intensive Polish, that stuff works wonders.

as for my bonnet/hood - i'm not keen on carbon fibre so i'll just get the bodyshop to sort the scratches out for me... i've also got a few little marks here & there which i'll prob get them to sort at the same time.

good news is next week my ECS spacers & bolts should turn up & i can get the 19" BB5s I have in my garden on the car
